Why teams buy through us

The licence is the same. Everything around it isn’t.

Buying Google Workspace direct gets you a subscription and a help centre article. Buying through Cloud Pier gets you the same platform plus the people who set it up, move your data and answer the phone at 3am.

Better commercial terms

Reseller agreements, consolidated invoicing and commitment options a self-serve account can’t access. We model the licence mix against how your team actually works, so you don’t pay for tiers nobody opens.

Migration by specialists

Mail, calendars, contacts, shared drives and permissions move as one project with a rollback plan. Our engineers have run this from Microsoft 365, Exchange, cPanel, Zoho and consumer Gmail hundreds of times.

Deliverability configured

SPF, DKIM and DMARC published and validated on day one, with alignment checked against every tool that sends on your behalf — CRM, invoicing, marketing, helpdesk. Your mail lands in the inbox.

24/7 human support

A named account manager plus an on-call engineering rota. You reach someone who already knows your domain, your DNS and your admin console — not a queue that asks you to start from scratch.

Google Workspace editions

Four editions. One conversation to pick the right one.

Every edition includes custom email at your domain, Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Chat, with the Google admin console for central control. The differences are storage, meeting size, security depth and AI. Tell us your team size and we’ll come back with a tailored proposal — often mixing editions so power users get more and everyone else isn’t over-licensed.

The reseller difference

Six things we do that a self-serve signup never will.

You keep the same Google Workspace platform, the same admin console and the same uptime. What changes is who does the work and who picks up when something breaks.

01

Migration from Microsoft 365, Exchange or Gmail

We inventory every mailbox, alias, distribution list and shared folder before touching anything. Mail, calendars, contacts and files copy across with folder structure and permissions intact, then re-sync right before cutover so nothing sent during the move is lost. Exchange, cPanel, IMAP, Zoho and consumer Gmail are all routine.

02

Admin console set up the way you actually work

Organisational units matched to your departments, role-based admin delegation, group aliases, shared drives with sensible access tiers, device policies and a documented offboarding routine. You get a written handover, so your own IT lead can run day-to-day changes without calling us.

03

Deliverability that survives contact with reality

We publish and validate SPF, DKIM and DMARC, then align every third-party sender — CRM, invoicing, newsletter, helpdesk, transactional API. DMARC starts in monitoring; we read the reports with you and only enforce once nothing legitimate is failing.

04

Gemini AI in Workspace, switched on responsibly

Smart drafting in Gmail, summaries in Docs, formula help in Sheets, note-taking in Meet. We enable Gemini per organisational unit, set data-handling expectations in writing, and run a short session so your team knows what it can and cannot be used for.

05

Local billing and clean invoicing

One consolidated invoice with your registered entity details, tax identifiers and purchase-order references where finance needs them. Add or remove seats mid-term and it reconciles on the next invoice — no card on file quietly renewing.

06

A dedicated account manager, not a queue

You get a named contact who knows your domain, your registrar and your licence mix, backed by an on-call rota around the clock. Reach us by email, phone or shared channel. Median first response is under twelve minutes, and escalation to Google goes through our partner channel rather than a public form.

How it works

Three steps across the pier.

Most teams of under fifty people are fully moved within a week of the kickoff call. Larger or more regulated organisations get a phased plan with departmental waves.

Survey the crossing

A 30-minute call to map your setup: mailbox count, storage, shared folders, sending tools and compliance constraints. You leave with a written edition recommendation and a fixed migration plan.

Lay the planks

We provision the tenant, build organisational units and groups, publish DNS and authentication records, then pilot-migrate a small group so you see real mail in the new environment before anyone commits.

Walk the team across

Full migration runs out of hours, with a delta sync at the end so nothing is missed. We flip MX records, stay on call through the first working day, and follow up with training and a 30-day review.

Security & deliverability

Your mail authenticated, your data governed.

Email only works if the rest of the internet believes it’s really you. We configure authentication properly at the start, then keep watching the reports — registrars change, tools get added, and a record that was right last year quietly stops being right.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC

Published, validated and aligned across every sender on your domain, then moved from monitoring to enforcement once the reports are clean.

Two-factor authentication

Enforced across the organisation with security keys or Google Authenticator, plus enrolment grace periods and a documented recovery path for lost devices.

Data loss prevention

Rules that detect card numbers, national IDs and confidential document markers before they leave the organisation, with warn-or-block behaviour you control.

Admin controls and audit

Organisational units, delegated admin roles, context-aware access, device management, and audit logs you can actually search when someone asks who shared what.

Retention and eDiscovery

Vault policies mapped to your legal obligations, with holds, exports and a retention schedule your compliance team signs off on rather than inherits.

Customer stories

What it feels like on the other side.

“We moved 214 mailboxes off Exchange over a Friday night and opened Monday like nothing had happened. The delta sync caught everything that arrived during the cutover — not one person reported a missing message.”
Rina MalhotraHead of IT, Harbourline Logistics
“Our invoices had been landing in spam for months and nobody could tell us why. Cloud Pier found two unaligned senders in an afternoon, fixed DMARC properly, and our collections cycle shortened by nine days.”
Tomas EkengrenFinance Director, Verano Labs
“The part I didn’t expect was the handover document. Our office manager now adds and removes staff herself in about four minutes. When we do need help, we message our account manager and get a real answer, not a ticket number.”
Adaeze KaluOperations Lead, Foldwork Studio
Questions

Things people ask before they commit.

It depends on your edition, your headcount and how you prefer to commit. Request a quote and we’ll share pricing tailored to your team size, usually within one business day, along with a mixed-licence option if some people need more than others.

No. We copy your historic mail into Google Workspace while your existing system keeps running, so both environments hold the same data. Only at the end do we switch MX records, followed by a delta sync to sweep up anything that arrived mid-cutover. If something looks wrong, the old system is still there and we can point mail back at it.

Yes — Microsoft 365, on-premise Exchange, IMAP or POP hosts, cPanel mail, Zoho and consumer Gmail are all routine. Mail, calendars and contacts move with folder structure intact, and OneDrive or SharePoint content maps into Drive and shared drives with permissions preserved. Mixed environments across departments are fine too.

You own your Google Workspace tenant and your data outright — that never changes. Cloud Pier is an independent authorized reseller, so we manage licensing, billing and support on top of it, and escalate to Google through our partner channel when something needs their engineers. You can move billing away from us at renewal without migrating anything.

Under fifty mailboxes usually completes within a week of the kickoff call, with the cutover itself out of hours. Larger organisations, deep archives or strict compliance requirements get a phased plan in departmental waves, typically three to six weeks. You get the timeline in writing before anything starts.

A named account manager, an on-call rota covering nights and weekends, and unlimited admin console help for the life of the agreement. That covers adding and removing users, deliverability checks, security policy changes and a quarterly review to keep your licence mix matched to your team.
